Welcome to Trailhead Academies
Coordinated by the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership
Do you make things happen? Do you strive to leave things better than you found them? Do want an inside track to college? Trailhead is for you!
What is does Trailhead mean to me as a first year student in college?
We believe that you are about to start your trail in college and for the rest of your life. Trailhead Academy is a way to start that trail on the best foot possible.
Who attends Trailhead Academy?
Entering first year students at Appalachian that exhibit emerging leadership characteristics, a desire to make a difference, and an inner drive for leaving their mark are invited to start college in a big way.
What exactly is Trailhead Academy?
Trailhead is a 4 day experience in which participants have the opportunity to:
- enhance leadership skills
- form lasting bonds with like-minded students
- learn the kind of contribution you can make to Appalachian in the years ahead
We believe that Appalachian is your legacy and that the person you become while you're here will be Appalachian's legacy. Trailhead is a time to begin thinking about what your legacy will be.
